Our Expandable Manhole Box is a lightweight backhoe lift-able shield built from high tensile steel 4″ wall sections and a combination of hydraulic struts and replaceable plywood sections.
The Expandable Manhole box is offered in various heights and width with stackable options. This application comes equipped with hydraulic cylinders that offer two feet of retractable stroke. Each application offers significant inside clear span and also reduces the amount of excavation needed to complete any job. The Expandable Manhole Box is designed to be used in linear trench applications and light duty utility work in OSHA Type A, B, and C soils.
